  • What's a pop up picnic?
    A Pop-Up Picnic is the ultimate stress-free and one-of-a-kind way to celebrate your special occasion! Picture this: low-lying picnic tables, plush cushions, cozy rugs, the soft glow of candles and lanterns, and a charming umbrella—all expertly set up for you. Your only job? Show up and relish a breathtaking picnic with your cherished guests. Now, here's the real treat: when you're done making memories, we'll swoop in and handle all the packing up. That means no fuss, no cleanup, and absolutely zero stress. Simply walk away into the sunset, carefree and content. At Picnic Pop-Up, we currently cater to couples and small groups of up to 6 people. Our romantic sunset dates are a fan favourite—perfect for creating unforgettable moments.
  • Is the food included?
    Food platters and grazing boards are not included in the picnic pop up hire price. That said, we've got you covered! Add one of our custom Grazing Boards for an additional charge.
  • Can I bring my own food?
    Absolutely, feel free to bring your own food! Since we're all about picnic rentals, the munchies aren't included. You're the star chef for your picnic feast! But, don't worry, if you'd like a little extra culinary help, we've got food platters and grazing boards available as tasty add-ons. Just remember, these munchies come with their own price tag and aren't bundled into the picnic gear rental cost. So, whether you're packing your own treats or indulging in our delicious extras, it's all about making your picnic perfect!
  • What happens if it rains?
    We highly recommend having an indoor or undercover alternative in case of bad weather. Please understand that our picnic equipment cannot be set up in rainy or muddy conditions, without exception. Fortunately, we have some preferred outdoor locations that offer sheltered pavilions. In the event of a forecasted rainfall, you have the option to relocate your picnic to an indoor venue, but this decision must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Please be aware that if the new location significantly exceeds the distance from our base compared to the original location, additional travel fees may apply. Should the weather take an unfavorable turn, you also have the option to reschedule your picnic for another date. To do so, please provide us with a minimum of 48 hours' notice, and rescheduled dates will depend on our availability. Kindly note that we do not offer refunds in the event of bad weather, so we encourage you to either reschedule your event or opt for an indoor setting. If you decide to cancel, please ensure you provide more than 48 hours (2 days) notice.
  • Can I cancel and get a refund?
    Yes, you are very much welcome to cancel the picnic hire and 48 hours (2 days) notice is required to receive your refund. Should you cancel within 2 days of your booked picnic hire session, no refunds will be granted. Refunds generally take up to 3 days, but can sometimes take longer due to banking processes. At Picnic Pop-Up, we believe in flexibility and want to make sure our customers can feel confident when booking with us. However, please note that cancellations made during peak seasons or for special events may have different cancellation policies, which will be clearly outlined during the booking process. We encourage all customers to review our Terms and Conditions before making any bookings.
  • Is there a security bond for the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) picnic package?
    Absolutely, we do ask for a $150 security bond when you opt for the DIY option. The good news is, once you return all the items within the 8-hour timeframe we provide for hiring our picnic gear, we'll promptly refund your $150. Now, if there happens to be any missing or broken items, don't sweat it! We won't hold onto the entire $150. We believe in being fair to our fantastic customers, so we'll only deduct the amount equivalent to the missing or damaged items. Here at Picnic Pop-Up, fairness and transparency are the name of the game when it comes to our business dealings. We want your experience with us to be worry-free, so you can kick back, relax, and enjoy your picnic to the fullest!
  • Do you stay while we picnic?
    No need to worry about a thing! You're free to savor the precious moments with your beloved guests. Here's how it goes down: we handle all the setup for your picnic, then we discreetly make our exit, leaving you in peace to enjoy your gathering. And when it's time to wrap things up, we'll swing by to pack everything up, so you can continue relishing those wonderful moments without any fuss. Your relaxation and enjoyment are our top priorities!
  • Do you have anyone that will take professional photos?
    Absolutely, we've got your photo needs covered! We can arrange photography services for you, and of course, there would be an additional charge for this. Just to set expectations, we'd classify our photography as more on the amateur side rather than professional. However, if you're looking for top-notch photography and don't mind paying a premium for it, we can certainly arrange a professional photographer to capture those special moments beautifully. It's all about tailoring your experience to your preferences!
  • Can we leave sooner than our scheduled time slot?
    In short, no, we kindly ask that you remain responsible for the picnic items until we arrive for pickup. If you find that you need to leave earlier than planned, just give us a heads-up with a call or text, providing at least 30 minutes' notice.
  • What's the latest time we can hire the picnic items?
    For our romantic sunset picnics, we typically aim to wrap up no later than roughly 30 minutes after the sunset time. The exact sunset time varies with the seasons. Just to provide you with a general idea, during the summer season, sunset is usually around 6:30 pm, so we'd typically finish up by around 7:00 pm. In autumn, when the sun sets around 5:00 pm, that's our endpoint. We are SUPER flexible though, so if you would prefer a longer time slot we can arrange this for an extra charge.
  • Ok, I understand all the FAQs and I'm ready to picnic... how do I make a booking?
